I joined Kea as a graduate. I started as a Researcher and was promoted into the Consultant team, with more of a focus on search. I began completely generalist in terms of the mandates I work on, but have recently followed a leaning towards Credit.

How have your outside passions influenced your time at Kea?

MH

I spent some time as a community organiser which really helped me place people at the centre of my psyche.

KEA

What’s your biggest professional regret?

MH

I didn’t start actively considering my career goals until my final year of university.

Which of the Kea values speaks to you the most?

MH

Relationship First. If people and relationships stay at the centre of business, the outcome is always the right one.

My edge
The more I’ve learned about different investment strategies, and the stories of different investments, the more interested I have become in investing as a whole. Being personally engaged in what you headhunt for is a very helpful edge!

It's only truly success if the whole team succeeds.

Kea’s value of Drive to Improve interplays with my personal life. I studied English Literature at university, and even though I graduated a while ago I want to make sure I stay up to date with research, new works and ideas. Why go half measures!
