I love the way we operate at Kea and how collaborative the team is. Everyone has a genuine excitement for each other’s wins and a shared standard of excellence that pushes me to be better every day. We share wins, learn from each other, and always push each other to keep improving.

Success, for me, is building relationships that last beyond a single process.

It’s not just about the immediate placement; it’s about being there for them over the long term. If someone trusts me enough to come back for advice later in their career or recommends me to a friend or colleague, that’s the real win.

Which of the Kea values speaks to you the most (and why)?

LC

The "Drive to Improve" value resonates the most with me. It sounds simple, but it’s at the core of my day-to-day here. I genuinely don’t think a day has gone by where I haven’t learnt something new — whether it’s how elections affect hiring, insights from a candidate about their deals, using a new tool on Excel, or adapting our processes to better meet client needs. That constant growth keeps the job exciting.

What does it take to be successful in your role?

LC

You have to care enough to get deep into the details, not just about what a client wants, but what a candidate actually needs, whilst being resilient enough to keep going even when processes stall or plans change. I’ve also learnt the importance of dealing with ambiguity, which requires me to stay calm and adapt, in order to consistently show up for clients and candidates.

What made you join Kea?

LC

It felt different to other roles I had looked at. It wasn’t just about ticking boxes; measuring success by volume and speed, or pushing people into roles. It was about doing headhunting properly, building trust, and thinking long-term.
