The term success has evolved for me over time, especially since the pandemic and my journey of illness as a young professional. I currently define success as making a positive impact on the life of a person, which at Kea can include colleagues, candidates, and clients. It has also meant a great sense of accomplishment in my field and incredible career progression. Most often, it has meant doing the things I love (networking, connecting interesting people and developing colleagues) and maintaining my personal values in the workplace.
No day or week at Kea is the same. Many are filled with strategic initiatives and oversight on searches. Some are more focused on training and development or business development.
An eagerness to bring those on the journey with me and share my experiences with others. I’ve spent more than 8 years within the fairly niche, competitive industry of buy-side headhunting. During this time, I have cultivated meaningful relationships, both at senior and junior levels, and a perspective on the wider market. I’m in a fortuitous position that I can come to conversations with the next generation of buy-side employers, candidates, and our own employees with a broad perspective on how the hiring market has evolved.
What do you enjoy most about the team?
I enjoy that the combined skills of the team complement one another. The team is collaborative and supportive. We take our roles seriously, but not ourselves seriously.
How have your outside passions influenced your day-to-day?
I had an international upbringing and very much enjoy travelling. Due to this, I am passionate about connecting with new people and enjoy cultivating relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
