The interview process made me feel connected to the company and individuals that work in it. They probed on softer skills, personality, strengths – I valued this. Being seen as human first rather than transactional came through strongly in both the way Kea interacts internally but also externally with candidates and clients.

Kea's values

Kea’s values feel relevant in every aspect of my life beyond work. Drive to improve is particularly pertinent throughout my personal life and I always want to be the better at everything and anything that I take on. For example, when I’m training at the gym, drive to improve is forefront of mind.

The progression from supporting a consultant to starting to really formulate opinions and driving a search forward in a short career span is extremely rewarding.

What do you enjoy about the role and the team?

GP

I love the energy in the office, there is often a laugh and a joke, between all levels - everyone is approachable. In terms of the role, the fast-paced nature is really challenging but also so rewarding especially when working with teammates.

What does success mean for you at Kea?

GP

Learning from the brilliance of people around me, improving my skill set as a headhunter and progressing through the organisation so I can hone those skills and play a pivotal role in the development of others.

What's your edge?

GP

My whole childhood and teenage years were dominated by elite sport where nothing else really mattered, this has translated itself into a competitive and ambitious nature which I think has evolved and become peppered with being energetic and friendly. The deep desire to win and be better is what gives me my edge.
