I think to be successful in this role, you have to become comfortable with continuously learning.Being transparent with candidates when your understanding of a particular topic is limited can actually create the best learning opportunities as there's no better source than those who engage with the subject every day.
Which of the Kea values speaks to you the most?
I feel most connected to the Inquisitive Listening value on the day-to-day. I've never been one to pretend I know something when I don't, which has helped me learn faster and connect more meaningfully, especially when navigating new aspects of the role.
What made you join Kea?
I was incredibly impressed by the team's intent to have a holistic understanding of who I was throughout the interview process. From my values and how that influences my professional self, to the importance I placed on challenging myself in my personal life. The self-reflection required to answer these questions meant there was no option besides being authentic and transparent, a trait I find reflected in my colleagues.
What do you enjoy about the role?
I love getting the opportunity to build long term relationships with candidates - being trusted to guide them on which and when a certain process is best for them. That trust stems from the team's collaborative nature, meaning we can grow from open learning as well as team wins.
