When I came across Kea while job hunting in early 2021, the sector focus and emphasis on research in their approach put them head-and-shoulders above their prospective competition. I made the decision to join when I began formally interviewing, when those I spoke to at Kea felt like colleagues far more than they felt like interviewers.

My edge

Enthusiasm and a passion for exceeding expectations.
Day-to-day
My role at Kea is twofold. I contribute to Kea’s research output through relationship building, keeping in touch with candidates and scouring LinkedIn for useful data points, rounding out the company’s understanding of the Investment Banking and Alternative Asset Management spaces. When staffed on a mandate, I work alongside a Consultant to address the candidate universe and present relevant candidates with relevant opportunities. Once in process, I assist with scheduling, provide candidates with advice and insight as to what to expect in each interview, take feedback as to how they feel they performed, and generally act as a conduit between the client and the candidate.

Drive to Improve
I think self-reflection is an essential part of being a capable human being, bettering yourself by honestly addressing your faults, and consistently replicating your strengths.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

GW

I greatly enjoy discussing interesting topics with interesting people, developing my knowledge of finance through an interpersonal lens. Kea has proved to be a phenomenal platform in satisfying my curiosity surrounding finance, either by working closely with Consultants with specialist knowledge of a given strategy, or by conducting research into the candidate universe.
